Three wins in a row have Legion FC just two points off the top spot in the Central Division with five matches left in the regular season. Forward Irvin Parra leads the team in goals scored (10) and is tied for first in shots (34) with forward Dane Kelly, the USL Championship’s all-time leading goal scorer. Marveaux has been a big addition to the team this season and, along with two other midseason signings, Gabriel Obertan, and Charlotte FC loanee Christian Fuchs, brings top-level pedigree to the Queen City. Legion FC grabbed a vital point against OKC Energy FC over the weekend that kept BHM in second place in the USLC Central Division, three points ahead of FC Tulsa and now six back of Louisville City FC. The club will look to get back in the win column on a trip to the ATL as it tries to hold on to its spot in the USL playoff race.

Midfielder Mikey Lopez bagged the lone goal of the game on Saturday for the home side, his second of the season, to keep his good form going. The Texan now has one goal and two assists in his last four matches. Forward Neco Brett will look to get back on track on Wednesday after scoring just once since August 11, but his 12 goals this year still lead the team and are good for eighth in the USLC.

Forward JJ Williams bagged the lone goal two games ago, at Tulsa, his fifth tally of the season, to go along with three assists, both tied for second-most on the team, while forward Junior Flemmings is tied with Williams in goals and assists and is always dangerous.

Legion is looking to increase its goal tally and get back to the solid defense it displayed earlier in the season, as the team is currently middle of the pack in goals scored (32), and top ten in the league in goals allowed (27) and shutouts (six).

Atlanta United 2 comes into the midweek contest still in the thick of the Central Division playoff race, currently two points out of the fourth and final spot, despite holding a better goal differential at the moment (minus one) than fourth place OKC (minus three). Form is not on Atlanta’s side, however, as it’s won just one of its past five games, and is 0-5-1 all-time, having scored just three goals and given up 16, in six prior meetings with BHM. The club will look to get back in the win column on a trip to the ATL as it tries to hold on to its spot in the USL playoff race.

Midfielder Mikey Lopez bagged the lone goal of the game on Saturday for the home side, his second of the season, to keep his good form going. The Texan now has one goal and two assists in his last four matches. Forward Neco Brett will look to get back on track on Wednesday after scoring just once since August 11, but his 12 goals this year still lead the team and are good for eighth in the USLC.

After a massive win over Louisville City FC to pull within four points of first in the race for the top spot in the Central Division on Saturday at home, Legion FC will look to avoid a letdown on a trip to Kansas City on short rest to take on Sporting KC II on Wednesday.

Forward Neco Brett opened the scoring in that game with his 12th goal of the season, third-most in the league, and strike partner JJ Williams scored the game winner just one minute after coming on as a second half substitute to grab his fourth goal of the year, to go along with three assists. He currently is third on the team in goals and tied for second in assists.

Williams is tied with forward Junior Flemmings in assists, as Flemmings assisted Williams’ goal on Wednesday and is second on the team in goals with five. BHM will be without his services this match though, as he has joined Jamaica this international window for World Cup Qualifiers, starting with Jamaica’s match at the Azteca Thursday against Mexico. Head Coach Tommy Soehn will look to Williams, Jaden Servania, Prosper Kasim and the rest of the squad to pick up the slack in the attack.

Legion defeated SKCII in the teams’ only prior meeting this season, 4-2 on August 11 in Birmingham, with goals from Brett, Williams, Flemmings, and midfielder Anderson Asiedu.
