Birmingham, AL– Birmingham Legion FC will be represented on the international stage this month as four Legion players have been called up to their respective men’s national teams for the upcoming FIFA international window.
AJ Paterson, Amir Daley, Kadeem Cole and Phanuel Kavita will each join their national teams, representing Grenada, Antigua & Barbuda, Nicaragua and Rwanda.
Paterson returns to the Grenada national team setup as the Spice Boys prepare for their 2026/27 Concacaf Nations League campaign. Grenada will face Cuba on September 25 before meeting Saint Kitts and Nevis on September 28.
Daley has been selected by Antigua & Barbuda for the Benna Boys’ 2026/27 Concacaf Nations League campaign. Antigua & Barbuda will face Aruba on September 23 and Anguilla on September 26 before continuing group-stage play in October.
Cole earns his first senior national team call-up with Nicaragua. The Costa Rican-born midfielder, who has Nicaraguan roots, was named to Nicaragua’s squad for the September-October FIFA window as the national team competes in League A of the Concacaf Nations League. Nicaragua is scheduled to face the Dominican Republic and Curaçao in September before additional October fixtures.
Kavita will represent Rwanda as the Amavubi begin their 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying campaign. Rwanda will face Liberia on September 25 before traveling to face Cape Verde on September 29. Kavita has previously represented Rwanda and earned his first international cap in 2025.
The four call-ups continue Legion’s growing presence on the international stage and give each player an opportunity to represent his country during the upcoming FIFA international window.
