Birmingham Legion FC – Birmingham Legion FC enters Saturday’s matchup against Monterey Bay FC following a 1-1 draw against Chattanooga Red Wolves SC in USL Cup play last weekend before earning the extra point with a 3-2 penalty shootout victory.
Saturday’s matchup will mark the third all-time meeting between Birmingham Legion FC and Monterey Bay FC, with Legion holding a 2-0 advantage in the series. Birmingham earned a 2-1 victory over Monterey Bay at Protective Stadium during the 2023 season before picking up another 2-1 road win at Cardinale Stadium in 202.
As the USL Championship season continues to heat up, every point becomes increasingly important in the playoff race. Saturday presents another opportunity for Legion to continue climbing the table and build consistency heading deeper into th season.
