PRIOR TO LEGION FC: Vassell has logged 42 matches in the USL Championship across three different seasons. He returns with Legion FC, having spent 2022 with Hartford Athletic where he provided a goal and three assists. He was with Indy Eleven the season before in 2021 where he enjoyed his best season of his career, bagging three goals to go along with an assist in 708 minutes of action. Vassell also made six appearances for Phoenix Rising FC in 2019. After two seasons with Harbour View FC in Jamaica, he was selected by Los Angeles FC with the 40th pick in the 2019 MLS SuperDraft. He most recently made a return to the Jamaica Premier League where he helped lead Montego Bay United FC to the semifinals of the 2025 playoffs. Vassell has earned 21 caps with the Jamaica Men’s National Team, scoring six goals to go along with four assists.

PRIOR TO LEGION FC: McIllhatton made the trek over to America after beginning his professional career with Sydney Olympic FC where he has plied his trade from 2021-25 in the National Premier League – the second tier of the Australian pyramid. In 80 appearances with the club across five seasons, McIllhatton has been a fixture in the middle of the pitch, while also getting in on the attack with four assists. He started and played the full 90 minutes in seven matches with Sydney Olympic FC in 2025.

2024: In his first season in Birmingham, McCartney found a way to affect the game positively whether that was in the starting XI or off the bench. In 25 appearances in USL Championship play, McCartney finished tied for the club-lead with six assists. Of his three goals that season, none were bigger than the equalizer in an eventual 2-1 win over eventual champions Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC.
PRIOR TO LEGION FC: McCartney was a part of the Philadelphia Union Academy since the beginning of the U.S. Soccer Development Academy era, recording over 72 appearances over four seasons between the U16 and U18 teams and made his USL debut for Bethlehem Steel FC in 2017. He would then rack up several accolades during a stellar collegiate career at Dartmouth starting in 2017 when he was named Ivy League Rookie of the Year, Top Drawer Soccer Freshman Best XI First Team, and All-Ivy Honorable Mention. He followed that up a season later with a All-Ivy Second Team Selection. He finished his college career at Notre Dame where he led the Irish to their first ACC Championship and earned himself ACC Championship MVP honors in 2021. McCartney was selected by the Portland Timbers with the 43rd overall pick of the 2021 MLS Super Draft.
