USL Championship match originally scheduled for this Saturday will be closed to the public
Jacksonville, FL. – Sporting Club Jacksonville (Sporting JAX) announced today that its USL Championship match against Birmingham Legion FC originally scheduled for Saturday, October 10, at 5 p.m. ET at Hodges Stadium will be closed to the public due to the potential impact of Hurricane Isaias and associated inclement weather. Due to potentially unplayable field conditions, the match will take place away from Sporting JAX’s usual natural grass pitch at Hodges Stadium and will now kick off at 1 p.m. ET. Fans can follow along on Birmingham Legion’s social media accounts listed below for live updates during the match. The match can also be streamed live on ESPN+.
Fans with tickets to Saturday’s match will receive tickets to the next men’s USL Championship Sporting JAX home match on Wednesday, October 21 at 7:30 p.m. against Louisville City FC, or to a women’s 2026 Gainbridge Super League regular season match of their choice.
