Birmingham, AL- Birmingham Legion FC returns to Dunnavant Valley Fields on Wednesday night for a long-awaited matchup against New Mexico United as the Black and Gold look to pick up three important points at home.

Wednesday’s match was originally scheduled for July 24 but was postponed due to weather, bringing the two sides back together nearly two months later at Legion’s training facility in Shelby County.
Romario Williams enters Wednesday’s matchup in the middle of an impressive scoring run, finding the back of the net four times across Legion’s last three matches. Williams has scored in each of Birmingham’s last three games, including a goal in Legion’s 2-2 draw against Charleston Battery.
Sebastian Tregarthen also enters the matchup with momentum after scoring in Legion’s most recent home match against Charleston, while Tyler Pasher continues to provide an attacking spark for the Black and Gold after recording four chances created in that contest.
Jassem Koleilat will once again anchor the Legion defense after making four saves in Birmingham’s most recent match. The goalkeeper has remained a key piece for the Black and Gold throughout the season as Legion looks to close out the regular season on a strong note.
Wednesday’s matchup is Presented by Coca-Cola United, with fans receiving a free Coke beverage upon arrival while supplies last.
