BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — Birmingham Legion FC defender Ramiz Hamouda has been named to the U.S. Under-18 Men’s National Team roster for the upcoming March training camp and 2026 Torneio Internacional de Lisboa in Portugal, continuing his steady rise through the U.S. Soccer youth national team system.

The call-up marks another step in Hamouda’s growing international résumé, having already featured prominently at the youth level. The Legion defender was part of the U.S. squad at the 2025 FIFA U-17 World Cup in Qatar, where the Americans topped their group, and has since remained a consistent presence in national team camps across multiple age groups.
Hamouda’s repeated selections reflect both his development and reliability within the U.S. setup, where he has earned minutes in high-level international environments against top global competition. Known for his composure in possession and defensive discipline, he has continued to establish himself as one of the more trusted options along the back line in his age group.
In Portugal, the U.S. will face Iceland on March 26, Morocco on March 28, and host nation Portugal on March 31, offering another opportunity for Hamouda to gain valuable experience against elite international opposition.
He is one of three players from the USL Championship included in the 20-player roster, highlighting both his individual progression and the increasing role of the league in developing national team-caliber talent.
For Birmingham Legion, Hamouda’s latest call-up underscores the club’s ability to contribute to the national team pathway, with one of its own continuing to make an impact on the international stage.
