About the Role
Game Day Ambassadors are the friendly, energetic face of Birmingham Legion FC on match days. This role is perfect for individuals who love working with people and want hands-on experience in sports, events, marketing, hospitality, and fan experience. Ambassadors play a key role in creating unforgettable matchday moments by engaging fans, delivering top-tier customer service, supporting operations, and representing the Legion brand with pride. This is a high-energy, people-first role that puts you at the heart of the game day experience.
Key Responsibilities
Fan Engagement
- Welcome fans at entry points, fan zones, and activation areas
- Direct guests to seats, amenities, and stadium features
- Run interactive experiences such as photo booths, games, trivia, and giveaways
- Distribute promotional items, merchandise, and prizes
Customer Service
- Provide concierge-level service to all guests
- Answer questions and resolve minor issues with professionalism and positivity
- Create a welcoming, inclusive, and exciting atmosphere
Brand & Promotion
- Represent Birmingham Legion FC and partners with enthusiasm
- Explain promotions, activations, and campaigns to fans
- Encourage participation in marketing initiatives (QR scans, donations, contests, sign-ups)
Operational Support
- Assist at entry gates with wayfinding and guest flow
- Support premium areas with guest services and access management
- Help with setup and breakdown of fan zones, activations, and signage
Liaison Support
- Communicate guest needs to hospitality, custodial, maintenance, and operations teams
- Help resolve issues quickly by connecting fans with the right staff
Ideal Candidate
- Outgoing, friendly, and confident in talking to people
- Passion for sports, events, or community engagement
- Reliable, punctual, and professional
- Comfortable standing and walking for long periods
- Available to work nights, weekends, and match days
- Team-oriented with a positive attitude
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Schedule & Commitment
- Primarily home matches and special events
- Flexible, event-based scheduling
- Training provided prior to first match
