About the Role
Game Day Retail Associates are the front line of the Birmingham Legion FC merchandise experience. This role is responsible for creating a fast, friendly, and professional retail environment on match days. Associates help fans find the perfect Legion gear, process purchases, manage inventory, and ensure merchandise areas are organized, welcoming, and efficient. This is a high-energy role for people who enjoy retail, sports, and working in a fast-paced, team-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Customer Service: Greet fans and provide friendly, helpful service; assist customers with product selection, sizing, and fit; deliver a positive, efficient checkout experience; answer questions about products, pricing, and promotions.
Merchandise Operations: Set up and break down retail locations on game days; stock shelves, racks, and displays; maintain clean, organized, and visually appealing retail areas; monitor inventory levels and communicate restock needs.
Point of Sale (POS): Operate cash registers and mobile POS systems; handle cash, credit, and digital transactions accurately; follow cash-handling and security procedures.
Brand Representation: Represent Birmingham Legion FC with professionalism and enthusiasm; promote new items, featured collections, and special releases; support promotional events and product launches.
Team Support: Work closely with retail leads and operations staff; assist with crowd flow in retail areas during peak times; help resolve customer concerns quickly and professionally.
Ideal Candidate
Friendly, energetic, and customer-focused; retail or customer service experience preferred; comfortable in fast-paced, high-volume environments; reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented; able to stand for long periods and lift light to moderate merchandise; available nights, weekends, and match days; team player with a positive attitude.
Schedule & Commitment
Primarily home matches and special events; event-based, part-time scheduling; training provided prior to first match.
