Legion FC returns home to face North Carolina FC on Saturday, July 13 at 7PM

Home Sweet Home
Following a two-week break, Birmingham Legion FC return to BBVA Field on July 13 to take on fellow Eastern Conference side North Carolina FC. The match is the first in a three-game stretch at home for Legion FC.

Legion FC have been on the road four out of their last five matches and have work to do to make up ground in a strong Eastern Conference. The return to Birmingham gives the boys the perfect opportunity to get back on track.

Keeping the Ball Rolling
On the heels of a World Cup title for the U.S. Women’s National Team and outstanding performances by the mens’ team and the U20 mens’ teams, soccer is on the front foot in the Magic City. Three games in July offers ample chance to watch quality soccer live and in person.

Through the Summer of Soccer, soccer fans have a host of ways to catch Legion FC in action and take advantage of great pre-game entertainment all month at BBVA Field.

Tough Test
Legion FC’s return to BBVA Field won’t be a walk in the park, as North Carolina FC is unbeaten in their last seven matches in the USL Championship. Wins over the Tampa Bay Rowdies, New York Red Bulls II, and, most recently, Nashville SC highlight this unbeaten run.

In the reverse fixture, Legion FC and North Carolina FC played out a scoreless draw. The result was a testament to NCFC’s defensive quality, which has them third in the league in goals conceded (13).
